To start I would like to share an excerpt from Wendy’s vows to me (Allen) on our wedding day:
Allen, when I first met you 5,102 days ago on August 10th, 1998, I couldn’t have imagined that I would be meeting my future husband. I am so glad I didn’t cancel on you when you told me you had long, but thinning hair. It wasn’t your hair, but your smile that made an impression on our first date. And that smile has continued to brighten my world in the last 14 years.
We are an unlikly pair. You are a free spirited artist and I am a boring IT techie. We are so different in so many ways, but we find ourselves finishing each other’s sentences all the time. Our relationship has been tested many times through the years. As painful and challenging as it’s been, we’ve grown stronger and closer through it all.
I met you when I was at the darkest place in my life. You accepted me for who I am and what I am without ever judging me. When I am upset, you let me vent my frustrations for hours without ever telling me to shut up. You understand me like no one lese does. You fill my empty heart with tolerance patience, and most of all, love, every single day. I made promise me that you would not die before me as I cannot imagine life without you. If there is truly a next life, I would marry you all over again. But please find me earlier and not wait until I am old and wrinkled, okay?
That last part always chokes me up. I hope you don’t mind me sharing it, but I wanted to give you a more personal insight into who we really are.
The reality is that over fourteen years ago I came a cross a profile at a then very fledging web site called Match.com. If you are not aware of it, Match.com is now one of the largest dating web sites in the world. It was so new then that I was a beta member and got it for free. In this profile a women that I read about seemed to good to be true and I almost didn’t send her an introduction. Luckily for me I did send her a note that day. Whether you are a future bridal couple, corporation, family, or somewhere in between we hope that you have the success that we have had over the years, the willingness to put yourself out there and take a chance, and even be open to catch a little luck.
Nevertheless, that’s me, Allen, the guy in the picture to the right.
More importantly and much nicer to look at in the photo is the beautiful Wendy. On occasion she allows me to be next to her in photographs (ouch, she pinched me). She is my partner in life and we compliment and know each other so well in and out of work.
Check out reviews from our customers at Wedding Wire, on our Testimonial page, and for fun see me on USA Networks television show Character Fantasy. I was the Photographer Expert brought in to help the person’s fantasy come true.
Together Wendy and I would love to get to know you. Give us a call, send us an e-mail, or use the form in the Contact Menu above.
Thanks for stopping by!
