Sheryl & Roland

We finished 2012 with a beautiful intimate wedding for Sheryl and Roland right after Christmas.  When we first met them, we felt an instant connection as they are about the same age as Wendy and I.  We adore their playfulness and sweetness to each other.  Their love for each other is so evident that Wendy and I couldn’t help but smile throughout their wedding day as we captured these precious moments.

Sheryl got ready at her mother’s house which looks like something out of a fairytale and totally fit for a storybook princess as gorgeous as Sheryl.  I wish you could have seen Wendy’s expression – her jaw literally dropped!  We were so glad Sheryl and Roland chose to do a ‘First Look’.  I love the image I captured of Sheryl coming down the stairs to meet her Prince Roland.

Oh, the tears of joy when they first saw each other.  It was precious!

It is said that rain on a wedding day is good luck and it actually rained that day.  So early on we knew it was going to be a beautiful wedding no matter what.  And wouldn’t you know it, the sky cleared up just before we started shooting.  God gave blessing with the rain and cleared it away just in time to wish this special couple a very happy wedding day!

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the East Lake Clubhouse by the lake.  All the houses surrounding the lake were decorated in a multitude of glorious holiday lights.  It was such a magical night to share with family and friends!

If I said that they have a gorgeous family, it’d be an understatement.  But more importantly, this is a caring loving family.  Sheryl’s bouquet was adorned with 3 crystals representing the 3 children.

We thank them for allowing us to share their special day and wish them a very long and happy marriage!
