The Capital Grille Happy Hour

Now with a Happy Hour in their upstairs balcony that was once the home of the crashed car sticking out of the now long gone Hard Rock Cafe, The Capital Grille sits right on Beverly Drive on one corner of Beverly Center.

If you are in OC and a food adventurist, chances are you’ve heard and read The Mad Hungry Women Food Blog by Anita Lau.  She also writes for the OC Register’s Food Frenzy among other things.  When I learned she was hosting a happy hour here that highlighted such wonderful and tasty foods, I couldn’t pass on the opportunity.  A range of appetizers from the Bar Menu are available from the Pan Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers in the first photo above to a wide fare (images above) of Lobster & Crab Burgers, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Tenderloin Sandwiches, to Mini Mozzarella, Crisp Prosciutto, and Basil Sandwiches to name a few.

Then we have the specialty drinks that always hit the spot. Shown above are the Grapefruit Buck, Mojito de Uvas, and The Bohemian, but many not shown (like the Stoli Doli) are just as enticing and delicious.

The Upstairs Lounge is both open and easily intimate with a balcony that allows the natural light to fill in the darker decor for a pleasant balance. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Our Host Anita was everywhere and busily making everyone feel welcome. Moving through the crowd of varied guests it was easy to see everyone was enjoying themselves and making new friends.

In the end nobody wanted to leave, if only every hour could make one so happy. With their free unlimited valet, do yourself and your friends a big favor and try this happy hour and savor all their many treats.

Thanks Anita Lau for having me to photograph your special event and thanks to you The Capital Grille for making this hour one of the best!
